Album Whale
Published on .Album Whale's homepage does a fantastic job at letting you know if it's something you would enjoy. It immediately hooked me.
It's a simple website: you create an account and make lists of music albums. That's it. You can keep them private if you want to use it for tracking your own stuff, or make them public for sharing with others.
I had been meaning to create a simple page for my vinyl collection for a while, so AW came in perfectly.
Some super lightweight social bits add a bit of fun and make for potentially discovering new music, too; there's a Discover page which highlights the public lists, and liking others' public will probably influence what's shown on some parts of this Discover page.
